【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofthechangeinlengthofatensionedskeinoftexturedyarnduetochangeincrimpcharacteristicsbroughtaboutbyexposuretowetordryheat.Thechangeinlength,dependingonprocedure,isameasureofskeinshrinkage,crimpcontraction,bulkshrinkage,orcrimprecovery.1.2Thistestmethodappliestocrimped,continuousmultifilamentyarnsrangingfrom1.7to88.9tex(15to800denier).1.3Threeconditionsareprovidedforcrimpdevelopmentmediums,andloadingroutinesareprovidedtobeusedontheyarnskeinstoallowdeterminationofyarnbulkbyseveraldifferentprocedures.1.4ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Withinthetext,theinch-poundunitsareshowninparentheses.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalent;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
