【摘要】:Thearomatichydrocarboncontentofmotordieselfuelsisafactorthatcanaffecttheircetanenumberandexhaustemissions.Thearomatichydrocarboncontentandthenaphthalenescontentofaviationturbinefuelsaffecttheircombustioncharacteristicsandsmoke-formingtendencies.Thesepropertiesrepresentspecificationsforaviationturbinefuels(seeSpecificationD1655).TheUnitedStatesEnvironmentalProtectionAgency(USEPA)regulatesthearomaticcontentofdieselfuels.CaliforniaAirResourcesBoard(CARB)regulationsplacelimitsonthetotalaromaticscontentandpolynucleararomatichydrocarboncontentofmotordieselfuel,thusrequiringanappropriateanalyticaldeterminationtoensurecompliancewiththeregulations.Producersofdieselfuelswillrequiresimilardeterminationsforprocessandqualitycontrol.Thistestmethodcanbeusedtomakesuchdeterminations.Thistestmethodisapplicabletomaterialsintheboilingrangeofmotordieselfuelsandisunaffectedbyfuelcoloration.TestMethodD1319,whichhasbeenmandatedbytheUSEPAforthedeterminationofaromaticsinmotordieselfuel,excludesmaterialswithfinalboilingpointsgreaterthan315x00B0;C(600x00B0;F)fromitsscope.TestMethodD2425isapplicabletothedeterminationofbothtotalaromaticsandpolynucleararomatichydrocarbonsindieselfuel,butismuchmorecostlyandtime-consumingtoperform.ResultsobtainedbythistestmethodhavebeenshowntobestatisticallymoreprecisethanthoseobtainedfromTestMethodD1319fortypicaldieselfuels,andthistestmethodhasashorteranalysistime.CooperativestudydatahavefoundthistestmethodtobemoreprecisethanthepublishedprecisionofTestMethodD1319whenappliedtoaviationturbinefuelsanddieselfuels.ResultsfromthistestmethodfortotalpolynucleararomatichydrocarbonsarealsoexpectedtobeatleastaspreciseasthoseofTestMethodD2425.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthetotalamountsofmonoaromaticandpolynucleararomatichydrocarboncompoundsinmotordieselfuels,aviationturbinefuels,andblendstocksbysupercriticalfluidchromatography(SFC).Therangeofaromaticsconcentrationtowhichthistestmethodisapplicableisfrom1to75mass%.Therangeofpolynucleararomatichydrocarbonconcentrationstowhichthistestmethodisapplicableisfrom0.5to50mass%.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
